Gerald is married and lives in the Maidstone area. He has four daughters and nine grandchildren to keep him busy.
Gerald sings in the bass section and has been a chorister for many years, beginning at the age of seven, when he says he was 'press-ganged' into the choir of Holy Trinity Church, New Hythe, by his then headmaster. He also sang in the choirs of St. Peter and St. Paul 's Church, Leybourne, St Nicholas' Church, Allington and progressed from treble through alto, tenor and bass. He has also been a member of Maidstone Inter Church Choral Fellowship. Gerald also sang with the Detling Singers and was introduced to Kent Police Male Voice Choir by Mike Clayton.
Before retirement, Gerald was a Chartered Certified Accountant. During National Service, he served in the Royal Air Force Police in the United Kingdom and in Sri Lanka.
Gerald counts amongst his many hobbies; reading, athletics, cricket, golf, and listening to good music, preferably classical.
Thank you for your dedication Gerald and for bringing your wealth of experience to our choir.
